MP3 This Month Music From The Faq - A Tribute To KISS III
(full album - 19 tracks - free download)
After "Music From The Faq" (May 2008) and "Music From The Faq II" (August 2008),
"Music From The Faq III" is uploaded online February 1, 2009.
"Music From The Faq III" contains another 19 tracks of creative and unique self-produced KISS and Related covers, including a previously unreleased Gene Simmons tune (again), spanning all different eras of the band.
While the songs were not produced with the benefit of a big-budget recording studio, the creativity, quality of the material and unique performances shine nonetheless.

February 26 : KISS To Enter Studio Next Week
From: Fox Business network
KISS guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley was a guest on the "Happy Hour" show this afternoon (Thursday, February 26) on the Fox Business network.
During the segment, which can be viewed by clicking here, Stanley confirmed to that he, Gene Simmons and the rest of KISS will enter the studio next week to grind out a new record for release this fall. "It's a KISS album in the most true and classic sense — we're recording it in analog, not digital, and writing it ourselves," Stanley recently said.

From: amNewYork
amNY : What can fans expect from the new Kiss record?
Paul Stanley " It’s very much an album that picks up where we left off in the 70s. It’s not an album that reflects trying to pick up whatever current.
We’ve been out a lot on the Kiss Alive 35 tour. Our biggest and most successful tour of Europe, we did 30 shows and about 400,000 people and we leave for South America — a bunch of stadiums — in April.
And the band has never sounded better or more focused. And playing the Kiss Alive
album and a lot of other classic songs has really just wetted out appetite to go in
the studio and transfer that, that same feeling and ferocity into new material".

From: DeuceNews
Recently GENE SIMMONS talked to Pagina12 about KISS playing in Argentina and many other topics. Among them this is what the demon said about new KISS record:
"We are making a new album produced by PAUL STANLEY, because I do not have the
patience to get into a studio and stay there for six months. Who better than Paul for that? The idea is to make the record quickly, like we did at the time of Destroyer, Rock And Roll Over and Love Gun. But we must be prepared, so we are now working on songs when we have time. Maybe in March we will go in a studio and recorded two or three songs. The idea is to work well, little by little, we can not spend too much time in the studio, it has to be fast."

February 15 : Bruce on upcoming "Rock Star and Super Star" disc
From: / / KISS Related Recordings
By the end of January Bruce Kulick did record two songs with twin brothers Rock Star (Marc Kancler) and Super Star (Kris Kancler) for their concept CD, tentatively titled “Serenity”. Bruce plays on the tracks  “Do it for you” and “Abuse Me”.
Because of its heavy message, “Do it for you” is the tune that the twins intend to use to promote heavy awareness to their We Are One non-profit venture.
Other well known KISS related persons involved with the project are guitarist Bob Kulick and KISS' manager, Doc McGhee. They are all working together on the CD in a Van Nuys studio.

February 6 : Bruce Kulick co-written song on Chris Laney album
From: Chris Laney /
Metal Heaven has set a March 27 release date for "Pure", the first solo album from Swedish songwriter/producer/artist Chris Laney. The songs on the CD were all written by Laney with co-writers like Bruce Kulick (KISS, UNION, GRAND FUNK RAILROAD), Lennart Östlund (LED ZEPPELIN, THE ROLLING STONES, ABBA, GENESIS), Mats Levén (THERION, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) and others. Laney sings all songs on "Pure", which includes appearances by guest musicians J. Koleberg (ANIMAL, ZAN CLAN), Nalle Pahlsson (TREAT, ANIMAL, ZAN CLAN), Vic Zino (HARDCORE SUPERSTAR), Martin Sweet (CRASHDIET) and Zinny Zan (EASY ACTION, SHOTGUN MESSIAH, ZAN CLAN).

Chris Laney has been involved in music all his life. He started to tour at the age of 13 and was in bands like SCRATCH and SEVENTEEN. He is a multi-talented musician who plays piano, drums and other instruments, but the guitar is what has become his closest friend. He is also known as a brilliant songwriter and producer. He spends time working at Polar Studios that was built by members in ABBA.
As a producer/engineer, Chris Laney has worked with artists like CANDLEMASS, EUROPE, CRASHDIET, Bruce Kulick, Brian "Robbo" Robertson, EASY ACTION and others.

As a guitarist, you will find Chris Laney as a member in Randy Piper's ANIMAL and ZAN CLAN, bands where he was also the main songwriter and producer. Chris Laney has released two albums with ex-W.A.S.P. guitarist Randy Piper and his band ANIMAL, "Violent New Breed" (2006) and "Virus" (2008). Chris Laney has released one album with ZAN CLAN, "We Are Zan Clan … Who the Fxxk Are You" (2005) and the DVD "Kickz The Livin Shit … Outta Stockholm" (2006).

February 2 : PAUL STANLEY to guest on new PUSHKING album
From: DeuceNews
According to Deucenews, Paul Stanley (KISS), Alice Cooper, Graham Bonnet (RAINBOW, ALCATRAZZ, MSG), Glenn Hughes (DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH), Joe Lynn Turner (RAINBOW, DEEP PURPLE) and Ian Gillan (DEEP PURPLE) are among the guest musicians who will appear on the forthcoming album from Russian rockers PUSHKING, to be released before the end of the year.

The album's producer, Fabrizio Grossi, stated about the project, "I was intrigued by the level of their musicianship and the very open approach they have to their music. Their music includes all the great ingredients of my favorite '70s bands, with QUEEN, ZEPPELIN and PURPLE on top of it. The record it's going to be a concept album and along with the band, there will be lots of great guest stars."

January 29, 2009 : Gabe Reed Secures Deal for Rock Legend Paul Stanley of KISS to Guest on new PUSHKING album
Gabe Reed secures deal for rock legend Paul Stanley of KISS to guest star on Russian rockers Pushking's new album to be released in late 2009. Gabe Reed actively represents clients in the music, film and sports entertainment businesses.
Based in Dallas, his clients are spread across the world.

Pushking is one of Russia's most popular metal/rock bands and have released over 15 albums. The band's new album is a tribute to their music heroes. In addition to Paul Stanley, the album features guests spots from Alice Cooper, Bonnie Tyler, Andrea Bocelli, Dan Mc Cafferty (Nazareth), Jon Lowton (Uriah Heep), Graham Bonnet (Rainbow-Alcatrazz), Glenn Hughes (Trapeeze, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath), Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow, Deep Purple) and Ian Gillan (Deep Purple).

For more than thirty years, Paul Stanley has reigned supreme as one of the single-most recognizable frontmen in the history of rock and roll. He’s the principal songwriter, driving force and the unwavering voice of KISS, one of the most successful and influential bands ever born on American soil. Employing equal parts hip-grinding rhythm, full-tilt glam and guitar-driven slam, Stanley single-handedly penned such escapist anthems as “Love Gun,” “God of Thunder” and “Black Diamond.” He was the golden throat that throttled “Detroit Rock City,” the charismatic swagger behind “I Was Made For Lovin’ You,” and stripped of makeup, was the unmasked troubadour that breathed vocal life into the ballads “Reason to Live,” “Forever” and “Every Time I Look At You.”
