Bobby Rock Joins New Band

Bobby joins the carnival...Carnival of Souls,
that is! With a debut CD and two videos with Bobby already
"in the can," Carnival of Souls (COS) is an aggressive new
modern arena rock act that is set to converge on the
international rock scene in the next few months.
"Although my involvement with COS has been very recent, I've
actually known Gene (Hunter, the bassist) for a lot of
years," Bobby says. "Everyone in the band is super cool and
it's a tightly-run organization, so it's been a comfortable
transition."
The New York-based COS has been tearing up clubs and theaters
in the Tri-State area for the past few years and has amassed
a fanatical following. They've also garnered critical
recognition in magazines like Metal Edge and Hit Parader,
and beat out nearly 4000 other entries to win Hit Parader's
"Hottest Unsigned Band in the World" contest in '03.
"This band represents all that I love about hard-hitting arena
rock,"
Bobby says. "Great songs, killer players, and an over-the-top
stage show. These are the things that led me to drumming in
the first place! I look forward to a fun year with the
guys."

April 19 :
Paul Stanley Collaborates With Power Pop Outfit "The Click
Five".
From:
Blabbermouth.com
KISS frontman Paul Stanley has collaborated with Boston-based
THE CLICK FIVE on the track "Angel to You (Devil to Me)",
which is set to appear on THE CLICK FIVE's debut CD,
"Greetings From Imrie House", due on August 2 via Lava.
Stanley reportedly co-wrote the track with THE CLICK FIVE
keyboardist Ben Romans at Stanley's home studio. The song
also features a guest appearance by Elliott Easton of THE
CARS.
THE CLICK FIVE, which bills itself as a power pop quintet "on
par with CHEAP TRICK and MATTHEW SWEET," has sold over
10,000 EPs in a few short weeks on tour and has experienced
countless tales of fan frenzy at their after-show signings,
according to SILLive.com. THE CLICK FIVE's first single,
"Just The Girl", will hit the airwaves May 23.
THE CLICK FIVE have already graced concert bills with the
likes of ASHLEE SIMPSON, ALANIS MORISETTE, BARENAKED LADIES
and ROD STEWART and will announce their summer tour shortly.

One of the most recently penned Paul Stanley songs is a track
titled "Angel To You (Devil In Me)" and appears on The Click
Five’s four song sampler CD that they sold at the shows
during their recent tour with Ashlee Simpson (from April 21
onwards they'll do a couple of shows with Aaron Carter).
According to a press release from the Boston based teen
pop/rock outfit – whose music is
being compared to that of The Cars and Cheap Trick – they sold
over 10,000 copies of their EP.
Paul Stanley co-wrote the song with members of The Click Five,
who also co-wrote two songs with Adam Schlesinger (Fountains
Of Wayne). Angel To You (Devil In Me) features a guitar solo
from Elliot Easton of The Cars. The Click Five's
debut album, Greetings From Imrie House, will be out soon. All
songs on the album, produced by Mike Denneen (Fountains Of
Wayne, Aimee Mann and Howie Day), were written (and
performed) by The Click Five, with the exception of course
of the Paul Stanley and Adam Schlesinger co-writes.
As for Paul’s solo album, the most recent comment made on that
was by Bruce Kulick who stated he has played bass on four
songs and that Paul also wants him to lay down some guitar
tracks. In a recent interview with
rockconfidential.com
Bruce said: “The stuff is terrific. It's definitely what Paul
really gets off on. The other half of the record I haven't
heard yet, but it's very melodic. I'm happy that he's
following his vision. He's not trying to write a KISS
record, although every KISS fan is going to love it.”
“Some of the songs are closer to cool things like Every Time I
Look At You from Revenge. He's got some more up-tempo kinda
things that I haven't heard. He's working with people like
Desmond Child. I'm looking forward to doing some more work
with him.” Apparantly, songs that Paul has recorded for his
new solo album include Wake Up Screaming, Live To Win and
Second To None. |
