Today, Warner Music Czech Republic s.r.o. released a three-track
digital single of “Time of Life” by the Czech band TURBO. “Time of
Life,” as well as its Czech version, “Vidím tu lásky svý stát,” was
written by Turbo and Tommy Thayer and features Tommy Thayer on
guitar on both versions. The songs are available on all major
streaming services.

On Saturday, July 27, 2024, KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer performed
with the legendary Czech rock band TURBO at the 9th annual St.
James’s Festival in Čechtice. They played the song “Chtěl jsem mít”
(which translates to “I Wanted to Have”) together.
Until 2003, TURBO’s lead singer was Richard Kybic, who passed away
in May 2003. His daughter, Vivien Kybic (also sometimes spelled
Vivien Kybitz), now lives with guitarist Tommy Thayer, with whom she
has a child.

interview with members of the group TURBO and TOMMY THAYER about
their new single entitled "Time of My Life", which will be released
by by Warner Music on November 21, 2025, while a full album is
planned for next year. Check interview

This episode tells the story of how Vivien, the daughter of TURBO’s
late singer, attended a KISS concert in Prague more than two years
ago, where she met Tommy Thayer for the first time.
Tommy Thayer : "I saw Vivien in the front row and I already said
that I wanted that girl".
Jirka Lang (drummer) : "They fell in love at the after party and it
was love like a log."
Radek Zíka (singer) : "You're in the front row and you yell I love
You a few times and suddenly you're at the Thayer's house in the
kitchen".
Tommy Thayer and Vivien have a daughter, Olivia, who was born just a
few months ago.
Tommy has recently teamed up with the Czech rock band TURBO and
written a song for their new single.
Tommy Thayer : “It all started with a phone call from Vivien’s
mother, Zuzana, asking if I could write a song to honor the memory
of former TURBO singer Richard Kybic. I was happy to say yes. The
song ‘Time of My Life’ was created at Svárov Studio.”
Reporter : “What do Gene and Paul think about you recording a song
with TURBO?”
Tommy Thayer : “I haven’t told them yet, but I’m sure they’ll be
excited. Our main goal has always been to create and to stay
creative, to meet great musicians and make great music. I feel
honored to pay tribute to Vivien’s father.”
