June 6 : BEN
CRISTAVAO & TOMMY THAYER : BikeRock (digital single) From :
Kiss Related Recordings and Zoran Liska
Following Tommy Thayer’s 2025 collaboration with Czech rock band
TURBO, he has recently co-written and
recorded another song with a Czech artist, this time with Ben
Cristovao, also known as Benny Cristo.
The song, titled “Bikerock,” was released as a digital single on
June 4 via
YouTube, with the track becoming available
on
iTunes and
Spotify the following day, June 5.
Translated press release from the Czech Republic:
Ben Cristovao’s new song "Bikerock"
is making waves not only because of its collaboration with a member
of the legendary band KISS, but also because of its distinctive
sound.
The release comes just ahead of the upcoming Rock for People
festival, where Cristovao will perform on Friday, June 12, with
Tommy Thayer appearing as a special guest.
“I still can’t believe it, but Tommy Thayer from the legendary KISS
is on the track, and he’ll be joining us at our show in Hradec,”
Cristovao wrote on social media while announcing the new single.
"Bikerock"
was released exactly one week before the festival performance. “Next
week we’re playing Rock for People, and together with Championship
Music we decided to have some fun with this challenge,” Cristovao
added.
Thayer contributed to the English-language rock track not only as a
guitarist but also as a co-writer. The song was recorded at Golden
Hive Studio and was also written by Dan Reed and producer Ondřej
Fiedler.
Ben’s guitarist, Karol Komenda, also took part in the recording.
Speaking to Headliner magazine in February, before the collaboration
had been publicly revealed, he shared his experience:
“Meeting Tommy was an absolute dream come true. I was surprised by
how humble and friendly he was. It was a real pleasure. We played
old KISS songs, jammed on different solos, and even sang together.
The atmosphere was completely relaxed, and Tommy has the energy of a
twenty-year-old.”
