"Rain #2" is another re-write of “Rain Keeps Falling” with a different guitar riff and where the bass and drums have more ‘swing’ (compared to the version as recorded with Silent Rage - see disk 02 - track 14). Recorded with Eric Singer and Bruce Kulick. "Damn, I’m Good" is a funky rock song demoed with Eric Singer on drums, while Gene Simmons handles the guitars, and bass himself. ------- "Psycho Circus" demo's & recording sessions 1997 - 1998 disk 10 - track 15 - Roar Of The Greasepaint [199? - with Eric Singer & Tommy Thayer] disk 10 - track 01 - Take It Like A Man #2 [1997 with Eric Singer & Bruce Kulick] disk 02 - track 01 - Weapons [1997 - Eric Singer & Bruce Kulick] disk 02 - track 02 - Weapons (Power To Raise ....) [1998 - Singer/ Kulick/ Frehley] The demo of "Roar Of The Greasepaint" is the precursor to “Journey Of 1.000 Years”, many of the elements of the of the 1998 “Psycho Circus” song are present, as are Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer on this recording. "Take It Like A Man #2" is demoed with Bruce Kulick and Eric Singer, this demo is an heavier attempt to reinterpret the 1983 demo (see disk 10 - track 02) and update it for use on the “Psycho Circus” album. Gene scats through most of song to create a guide track. With the intent all 4 members to share the lead vocal duties. "Weapons" is the original demo of the song that later became “Weapons (Of Mass Destruction)” on Gene Simmons “Asshole” (2004) album. This 1997 demo features Eric Singer and Bruce Kulick. The song was under consideration for use on the 1998 “Psycho Circus” album. While “Weapons” was considered for the 1998 “Psycho Circus” album, Gene Simmons offered the song to Ace Frehley to sing. Ace Frehley didn’t like the lyrics, and rewrote it. The "Weapons (Power To Raise The Dead)" version features Ace Frehley vocals to the original backing track (with Eric Singer and Bruce Kulick). ------- 2002 - 2003 various "Asshole" demo sessions disk 08 - track 04 - Sweet & Dirty Love [2003 - with Tommy Thayer & Eric Singer] "Sweet & Dirty Love" is recorded with Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer with it approaching the form that would be used on Gene Simmons 2004 “Asshole” album, which 2004 version features Bruce Kulick on guitar. Originally written and demoed as “Jelly Roll” in 1975/1976 (see disk 08 - track 05). ------- "Sonic Boom" 2007 - 2009 recording sessions disk 01 - track 01 - Are You Ready [2007/2008 - with Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer] disk 01 - track 08 - Hand Of Fate [2007/2008 - with Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer] disk 08 - track 01 - Rocked It All Night [2009 ? - with Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer] disk 08 - track 09 - Hit The Ground [200.. ? - with Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer] "Are You Ready" likely dates from “Sonic Boom” recording sessions with Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer. The song was also mentioned for inclusion on the “Monster” (2012) album. "Hand Of Fate' is recorded ‘live’ at a rehearsal studio in Los Angeles with Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer. After that Gene Simmons took the track to his home studio to add multi-layered harmonies (with the help of Engineer Pat Regan), re-arranged it and put additional stuff to it. Riff-wise (as well as the main vocals) the song sounds like a cross between “God Of Thunder” and “Within’” riff-wise, filled with some clean vocal backing harmonies … "Rocked It All Night" is written and demoed for “Sonic Boom”, it recycled the “All The Kids In Painted Faces” and “You Drive Us Wild, We’ll Drive You” Crazy lyrics. It’s likely includes Eric Singer on drums and Tommy Thayer on guitar. "Hit The Ground (Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is)" is demoed with Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer.
