January 23 : New
SILENT RAGE album featuring Bruce Kulick update
From:
Frontiers
Records
US Arena Rock band SILENT RAGE completed the production of their brand new studio album, their first in 5 years, entitled “Four Letter Word”.
Guitarist and singer Jesse Damon comments: “I love all the new songs a lot! The vibe on this new CD is a blending of hard driving rock with big memorable choruses, just the way we like to write. The new material continues as a natural progression from our "Don't Touch Me There" CD. We've always strived to uphold what the band is known for with our multi-vocals, a style of blending melodic with hard rock, and signature song writing! All these new songs have a common thread of energy, enthusiasm, and balls! It's been 5 years since our last release and so we made sure to make it enjoyable, and to have a blast in the studio recording it! We rocked hard on this CD, and this time we asked and included some of our good friends to play on several of the new songs.
Some of my favorite's on this new CD would be the song "Man or Machine" the story of Frankenstein, with the main guitar solo and guitar fills performed by Bruce Kulick. This track is one of the heaviest songs with strong performances by everyone! I also think the title track "Four Letter Word" with it's storyline about not to fall into love's trap turned out very cool, and is a continuation of Don't Touch Me There material. Some other stand out songs include "Bona Fide" a primal lust rocker, with Bobby Blotzer on drums and Gilby Clarke performing the main guitar solo and fills, also the song "Sinister Man" another ballsy rocker showing a darker melodic side to us, with a lyric suggesting "Livin' life my own way" with very special guest backing singers".
Silent Rage lineup on the album includes Jesse Damon on vocals & guitar, EJ Curse on vocals & bass, Mark Hawkins on vocals & guitar, and newest member Rodney Pino on vocals & drums.
"Four Letter Word" track listing:
01. You Could Be The One
02. Four Letter Word
03. Man Or Machine
04. Feel My Love
05. Close Your Eyes
06. Sinister Man
07. Hard Habit To Break
08. Nobody Knows (The Ballad of Andy and Glory)
09. Bona Fide
10. I'm Not Lonely
11. Trouble
Produced by Gilby Clarke, including a line-up of some very special guests performances by Bruce Kulick (KISS), Bobby Blotzer (Ratt), Gilby Clarke (Guns N Roses, Rockstar Supernova), Dilana (Rockstar Supernova), Brian James Fox (Silent Rage) and more!
Get ready for a raw, rock explosion for melodic hard rock fans, new and old! More details and release date to be released at a later stage.

January 22 : PAUL
STANLEY comments on SARAH BRIGHTMAN
From:
paulstanley.com
Paul Stanley, the multitalented artist and legendary front man for the iconic group
KISS, announced today that he will appear on the upcoming Sarah Brightman album,
'Symphony' (Manhattan Records), slated to be released in the United States on January
29, 2008.
Stanley, who in addition to his songwriting and performing responsibilities for KISS,
is an accomplished solo artist, painter and stage performer, collaborated with
Brightman on the duet "I Will Be with You (Where the Lost Ones Go)" off the
forthcoming album 'Symphony.' Interestingly, both are "Phantom of the Opera" alums
with Brightman having originated the role of Christine Daae in the Andrew Lloyd Webber
production and Stanley who received rave reviews for his portrayal of The Phantom in
the Toronto stage version.
'As a fan of Sarah's stage, recording and concert work, I was immediately intrigued with the potential of what our voices together might create,' said Stanley. 'We were both really pleased with how our duet turned out and performing live together is a real possibility.'
Paul Stanley just completed a highly successful 2007, garnering over $2 million in sales for his art work distributed through Wentworth Galleries. Stanley is also slated to tour Australia and New Zealand with KISS in March of 2008 with possible Europe and US
dates to follow..

January 15 : Ace
Frehley solo album ...
From:
kissfaq.com
After his mini tour in December, Ace's band is due back in the studio imminently to finish recording his first solo album since "Trouble Walkin'" in 1989. Some song titles that may (or may not) turn up in
conjunction with this album are "Pain In The Neck," "The King Is Kong," and "You Make It Hard For Me."
"You Make It Hard For Me" dates back to a 1985 Ace Frehley/Marty Kupersmith composition that was released on Marty's 1997 album
"It'll Come To You."
However, during the "Psycho Circus" era back with KISS Ace wrote a song with the same title with Sebastian Bach (ex-Skid Row). Intended (at one point) to be included on the "Psycho Circus" album, having apparently made it so far as to attain the approval of producer Bruce Fairbairn, the song was eventually dropped, so there may be a bit of recycling with this one. If the song does get release on Ace's album, then Sebastian should be pleased! "The King Is Kong" also seems reminiscent of a certain pre-KISS band of Ace's: "King Kong," but at this point... Who knows! Naturally, these titles are unconfirmed, and anyway if they're correct they could be changed or even dropped from prospective use.

January 9 : ERIC SINGER Interview
From:
KISS-Related-Recordings
/ Metal-Rules.com
When you're interested in the Eric Singer related releases
mentioned on this website, than the Eric Singer interview by Marko Syrjälä
is a must to read at Metal-Rules.com.
Legendary drummer ERIC SINGER first rose to fame playing drums on LITA FORD's DANCIN' ON THE EDGE tour back in 1984. Subsequently he joined up with Tony Iommi and played on two classic BLACK SABBATH albums, SEVENTH STAR in 1986 and THE ETERNAL IDOL the following year. Thereupon he toured the world with Gary Moore before reuniting with his old Black Sabbath colleague Ray Gillen in Badlands. In quick succession he hooked up with Alice Cooper for some touring before stepping in to replace the ailing ERIC CARR in KISS and proceeding to record the classic REVENGE album in 1992 and the follow up CARNIVAL OF SOULS in 1997 as well as the live albums ALIVE III in 1993 and MTV UNPLUGGED in 1996. More recently he has, in addition to touring with both KISS and ALICE COOPER, appeared on Alice's BRUTAL PLANET album in 2000 and THE EYES OF ALICE COOPER album in 2003. He has also toured and put out albums with ESP (ERIC SINGER Project) and worked with Tobias Sammet’s Avantasia, Gilby Clarke and that's not all... read all about it in this forthright
interview.
