August 28 : Eric
Singer guests on drums on The BONES 'Circle' album From
:
Kiss Related Recordings The Bones released their digital album 'Circle' on August 23, thru Lovedozer
Records, which album features Eric Singer playing drums on
the song “Anything”. (Spotify

A CD version is planned for September 2024, while a vinyl album version of 'Circle' is planned for late
September, October this year.
Last January it was mentioned on
this website that KISS drummer Eric Singer
was recording drums at The Tone Factory Recording Studios for Las
Vegas rock band 'The BONES' with engineer Vinnie Castaldo.
The Bones are a Las Vegas-Based Rock & Roll Band, featuring Patrick
Vitagliano (Nuclear Theory, a Nuclear Assault spinoff with John
Connelly), Jeff Duncan (Armored Saint/Odin), Sean Koos (Joan Jett &
The Blackhearts) and Shon McKee (Crashing Wayward).
With 4 full length original albums under their belt, their music
have been described as feel-good rock and roll, with a witty and
sarcastic lyrical spin that is refreshing these days when so many
bands take themselves so seriously.
Their tongue-in-cheek live-show is a high energy set often includes
rock/metal covers of some of the most unexpected pop-songs that were
NEVER intended to rock, (Covering Abba, Devo, Duran Duran, Blondie,
The GoGo's, Cyndi Lauper, etc....
The Bones have released 2 double-live albums of these twisted
covers), yet somehow, ends up being one of the most memorable
good-time rock shows you'll see in Las Vegas.

Today marks Gene Simmons 75th Birthday. To Celebrate this day I have
a little surprise to share. Today, exactly 37 years ago, Gene
Simmons launched his record label Simmons Records as well as the
MoneyBag logo (and brand) in London, UK. I couldn’t find any of this
event on the net, so hereby I’ve uploaded a 4 minute long interview
from that night taken from my own archives. Enjoy !!
August 23 : BRYAN
ADAMS unveiled video for War Machine From

Today Bryan Adams has unveiled a video for his new song, "War
Machine".
Driven by a prominent bass riff, the rock stomper follows on from "Rock
and Roll Hell", which the Canadian
musician released earlier in
August.
Penned by Adams, long-time collaborator Jim Vallance, and KISS’ Gene
Simmons originally for the glam-rock icons’ 1982 album ‘Creatures Of
The Night’, the song’s anchoring groove formed from a bassline
played to Adams by Simmons. Adams explained:
“Here are two songs I co-wrote when I was a 22-year-old struggling
songwriter. I got a call out of the blue from producer Michael James
Jackson to see if I would like to write for KISS, which I was
thrilled to do, and these are a couple of the songs that were the
result, written with both Gene Simmons and Jim Vallance. ....

August 17 : Gene
Simmons Recorded new cover song for Reagan Biopic From
:

The upcoming Ronald Reagan biopic 'Reagan' stars noted Donald Trump
supporter Dennis Quaid as the title character, and the cast includes
Jon Voight, Kevin Sorbo, and Creed’s Scott Stapp (as Frank Sinatra).
Directed by Sean McNamara, the film also boasts a soundtrack with
some noteworthy names. The biggest of them is Bob Dylan, who
recorded a cover of Cole Porter’s “Don’t Fence Me In” for the
closing credits.
Other contributors to the Reagan soundtrack include KISS’ Gene
Simmons, who covered the 1930s torch song “Stormy Weather” for a
scene featuring Reagan and wife Jane Wyman (played by Mena Suvari)
in a nightclub, and country legend Clint Black, whose take on John
Denver’s “Country Roads” appears in the film’s final scene. Tanya
Tucker reportedly recorded a song for the movie too.
Bryan Adams is releasing a special double A-side single featuring
two songs "War Machine" and "Rock And Roll Hell" through his new
independent label,
Bad Records. These songs were originally
written by Adams, Jim Vallance, and Gene Simmons for KISS’ 1982
album "Creatures of the Night".
Bryan
comments: “To commemorate the first single on Bad Records, here are
two songs I co-wrote when I was a 22 year old struggling songwriter.
I got a call out of the blue from producer Michael James Jackson to
see if I would like to write for KISS, which I was thrilled to do,
and these are a couple of the songs that were the result, written
with both Gene Simmons and Jim Vallance.
While sitting with the band, Gene played me this fantastic bass
riff, which ended up being the backbone of "War Machine" I was
trying to think of a theme that could possibly match the riff and
came up with the title. Seeing as the other song we’d written was
about hell, War was the obvious theme to coincide with it.
"Rock and Roll" Hell was actually Jim’s song that had been released a
few years earlier (in 1979) with Bachman Turner Overdrive, and I suggested,
that we re-write it for KISS. It’s incredible to think these themes
are unfortunately still playing out for real in the world today, but
I’m very grateful to the KISS guys for giving me the chance back
then.”
Released a few months before “Creatures Of The Night” album, the
track “Down On Your Knees” was one of the four original compositions
on the Kiss Greatest Hits record “Killers” (1982). The track was
written by Bryan Adams, Paul Stanley and Mikel Japp.
The album was released only outside the United States at the time
but quickly became available as import. The other original tracks
are “I’m A Legend Tonight”, “Nowhere To Run” and “Partners In
Crime”.
Following this songwriting work for KISS, Bryan’s solo career went
on to hit new heights of success with the release of his award
winning Top 10 album "Cuts Like A Knife" in 1983 (which
features the song "Don't Leave Me Lonely", co written by KISS' Eric
Carr - KRR), while "Reckless" the
following year shot him to global super-stardom.
"Rock And Roll Hell" has been released digitally (Spotify) now, accompanied by
a video filmed May 13, 2024 on the rooftop of London’s Royal Albert Hall during
Adams‘ recent residency there.
