15 : New Andrew London single feat. Bruce Kulick
(free download) From :
Andrew London (facebook) Growing
up in California, I have always loved the summertime. This year I’ve
been driving the coast highway, finding a few songs along the way.
Today, I am excited to share the first single “American Summer” as a
free download.
Make sure to roll your windows down and give it a listen.
Earlier this year Bruce and I sat in a Hollywood studio where some
of the biggest records of the '60s were made and recorded guitars
for the song “American Summer.”
We wanted a bright, Petty-meets-Townshend vibe to match the “driving
the California coast” sound of the song.
Bruce’s guitars are all over - A hi-strung acoustic starts the song,
his Gibson “Elvis Dove” acoustic, and plenty of electrics - a cherry
SG with p90s and a Les Paul Jr on the rhythms. We were all smiles
leaving the studio and proud to have the song available for FREE
download on
www.andrewlondonmusic.com.

July 3 : UNDISCOVERED KISSTORY: VINNIE
VINCENT'S WARRIOR
The Full Story Of Vinnie Vincent's Awesome Pre-Kiss Band From :
metaltalk.net
Standard KISSTORY will tell you that before he
joined KISS in 1982, guitarist Vinnie Vincent (AKA Vinnie Cusano)
was in a band called
WARRIOR with some of the members of the band
NEW ENGLAND. Not much else seems to be said about this band
except that their demos have turned up in collector's circles and
online.
This brief bit of information always left me curious with many
unanswered questions.
Who were Warrior? What was their KISS connection? Did they do gigs?
How serious was the band? Is that really Vinnie Vincent singing lead
vocals on those alleged
WARRIOR demos ? And the one that has caused the most debate
amongst KISS fans for years, is Vinnie as unpredictable and crazy as
KISS like to make out?
The other members of
WARRIOR were Jimmy Waldo on keys, Gary Shea on bass and Hirsh
Gardner on drums. Together with John Fannon on guitar and lead
vocals, they had been New England. The story of Warrior actually
starts not with Vinnie but with
NEW ENGLAND.

Gardner on other Vinnie Vincent Warrior related re-recordings at
